F. A. Q.

  1. Are your courses tailored to the local market?
Yes. Our courses have been designed according to local market needs. Most of our case studies are specific to the requirements.
  2. Does you offer tailored In-company training programs?
Yes. In fact the bulk of our business is In-company training programs. Before delivering training we carry out extensive diagnostic work to ensure that our course content matches the key outcomes required by the Client Company or organization.
  3. Are your timings flexible for In-company training?
Yes. You can choose the dates and timings for In-company trainings – subject to trainer availability.
  4. Will my training details and records be discussed with other potential clients?
No. Unlike many other training companies, we maintain strict client confidentiality and will never discuss a client’s training with another company. We guarantee client confidentiality. Our client list is never sent out, or published anywhere (including our website).
  5. Can you deliver training outside the Kuwait?
Yes. Our trainers travel globally to provide training in different countries throughout the Middle East and beyond.
  6. Do you provide help with venues, training equipment, etc., for In-company training?
Yes. We can provide help with looking for a venue, and will try to provide our clients with special corporate rates for venues. We can also use our own equipment, subject to availability, e.g. LCDs – which may help to reduce some of your costs.
  7. What are the start and finish times for Public Courses? How many contact hours are there in a training day?
Typically training hours are 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. At times 8.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m. Total contact hours (tutor / delegate) is 6.5 per day for all Public Courses.
  8. What happens during Ramadan with Public Course timings?
During Ramadan, we take into account the needs of Muslim delegates – with different timings applying. We start our courses earlier and shorten the day, by cutting the length of breaks. This shortens the day, but still ensures that 6.5 contact hours are delivered on our courses.
  9. What happens after I make an online booking for a Public Course?
One of our Business Development people will get in touch with you after we receive your online booking to confirm your place on the course. Following this, an invoice will be sent to the address supplied and Joining Instructions (course date, timings, venue, trainer details, etc.,) will be e-mailed to you closer to the date of the training.
  10. How are your Public Training Courses delivered?
Our courses are highly interactive and take into account delegates’ different learning styles. There are tutor-led discussions, group work, individual presentations, experiential role plays, individual assessments, etc. In some cases DVD recordings are also made and played back to delegates.
  11. What do I get if I book on a Public Course?
The Public Course investment includes the following:
    – A top quality delegate manual.
    – Handouts and other training material.
    – Certificate of completion of course.
    – Pre-course refreshments, morning tea / coffee break and snacks, buffet lunch, and afternoon tea / coffee break and snacks.
    – Personal Development Planners and Individual Tutor Feedback Forms*.
    – A great training experience!
    * Tutor Feedback on individual delegates is provided for courses of more than one day’s duration.
  12. Can I save money if I book more than one delegate at a time or book for multiple courses?
Yes. Please contact us to ask about our discount pricing structure for multiple bookings on Public Courses.
  13. How do you select your training venues?
Before selecting venues for Public or In-company training, our Admin. Staff inspects them to ensure they are up to the professional standard we require. It is important to choose venues that create a memorable learning experience for delegates.
  14. If I have other questions what should I do?
Please contact us to ask to speak to one of our Business Development Managers who will be pleased to answer any additional queries you may have.

What will be covered?

The job market continues to change, as does the way we look for work. This course will examine the value of presenting yourself as a complete package by using a resume as an introduction to an employer, backed up by a portfolio presented at an interview. In order to make the most of this course, participants need to have recently completed the Getting Your Job Search Started workshop, or have identified target positions as well as completed a full skill assessment and goal setting exercise.

This one-day workshop will help you teach participants:

  • How to describe themselves in descriptive language
  • What the essential elements of cover letters and resumes are
  • All about the need for pre-employment testing, and what to expect in their target market
  • How to design a personalized portfolio
  • How to develop a plan that moves them to a new job within 60 days

Introduction and Course Overview
You will spend the first part of the day getting to know participants and discussing what will take place during the workshop. Students will also have an opportunity to identify their personal learning objectives.

Who are You?
To begin the day, participants will review their strengths and skills and how to use language to sell themselves.

Writing the Resume
This session will give participants some guidelines to help them produce a brilliant resume.

Creating a Noticeable Package
Next, participants will look at different resume formats for different purposes. They will also look at how to make branding work for them.

Cover Letters

Getting into the Flow
To wrap up the morning, participants will have half an hour of writing time.

The Portfolio
This session will show participants how to present their skills in a portfolio format.

Dealing with Awkward Points
Next, participants will learn how to address absences from the workplace, including job hopping, parental leave, being fired, and incarceration.

Getting to a New Job in 60 Days
This session will give participants a 60-day plan to get them to a new job.

Giving References
During this session, participants will learn who they should ask to be a reference and how they should ask them.

Thank You
To conclude the day, participants will learn about an important but often overlooked aspect of the job search: the thank you note.

Workshop Wrap-Up
At the end of the day, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and fill out an action plan.
